Fady Mansour
Associate Professor of Economics and Director of the Butler Center for Research and Economic Development, Columbus State University
Dr. Mansour holds a Ph.D. in economics from Middle Tennessee State University. He serves as the Director of The Butler Center for Business and Economic Research, the Sarah T. Butler Distinguished University Chair of Business & Finance, and Associate Professor of Economics at Columbus State University. Dr. Mansour has collaborated with businesses, non-profit organizations, local governments, and the Chamber of Commerce to identify opportunities, attract new business and investment to the area, make effective data-driven decisions, and optimize returns on public spending for workforce and economic development.
He led the Butler Center's comprehensive economic impact study, which played a vital role in helping the city of Columbus bring professional baseball back to the Chattahoochee Valley in a $300 million economic development project. Dr. Mansour's research focuses on labor and health economics, with his work published in prominent journals and cited by researchers across the US, South America, and Europe. His dedication to teaching and community service has earned him the College Teaching Excellence Award and the Service Award.
