Is there a common mistake that first-time buyers make and, if so, how can they avoid it?

Can you please explain some common mistakes that first-time buyers like myself often make, and provide detailed advice on how I can avoid making these errors when I make my purchase?

A common mistake is picking the wrong deductible. Some people may decide to go with a lower deductible but it raises their premium. Picking the right deductible is probably the No. 1 issue. Generally, between $1,000 to $2,500 is a fair range.
