Missouri residents can enroll in an Affordable Care Act (ACA) "marketplace" plan through the federal website, HealthCare.gov. These plans offer subsidized premiums depending on household income and size.

The open enrollment period for 2022 coverage ran from November 1, 2021, to January 15, 2022. Outside of that window, new enrollments for 2022 coverage are allowed if there is a qualifying "life event." It is important to realize that not all counties in Missouri, especially in the western part of the state, have an ACA plan.
