Shop around. While it can be very convenient to purchase insurance online with no human contact, sometimes having an agent guide you (and do some work for you) can make a world of difference. Make sure the coverage is sufficient, but not excessive. There are many “bells and whistles” that can be added to car insurance, and frankly, not all of them are cost-effective. You might look for insurance that rewards claim-free or safe driving behavior with reduced premiums; or for a company that as more experience behind the wheel is gained (read: getting older!).
