What can military members/veterans expect from the private life insurance underwriting process that differs from civilians and how can they prepare themselves for it?

Being in the military or having served, are there any specific differences I should be aware of when going through the life insurance underwriting process compared to civilians? And what steps can I take to prepare for these differences?

Military members and veterans must disclose any service-related injuries, conditions or exposures along with basic health information. You need to be as transparent as possible and disclose all medical information. This is especially important if you have a service-related disability.
