Verdict

Cure Auto has excellent customer service, according to MoneyGeek’s research. For complaints, Cure Auto receives an average rating.

How Does Cure Auto Rank for Customer Service?

Cure is a fairly small insurance company that’s only available in two states. Because of its size, it is not rated by either AM Best or J.D.Power. AM Best evaluates a company’s financial strength. J.D. Power does an insurance satisfaction survey of all the top companies every year, but Cure is too small to be considered in their survey.

Customer Satisfaction Rating

The Better Business Bureau (BBB) rates Cure Auto Insurance with an A+, however, it is not accredited by the BBB. The lack of accreditation could simply mean a company decided not to apply for accreditation with the BBB or it could mean that a company doesn’t comply with the ethical standards set forth by the BBB.

There is a record of 18 closed complaints in the past three years with Cure Auto Insurance, according to the BBB. Many of the complaints found online take note of the slow process, lack of communication and rude customer service agents.

Customer Complaint Ratio

The NAIC is the National Association of Insurance Commissioners. They keep track of all complaints against insurance companies and come up with a score. A score of 1.00 indicates a company has the median amount of complaints for a company of its size. A score of 2.00 would mean a company has twice as many complaints as the average.

Is Cure Auto Car Insurance Expensive or Cheap? Why?

Cure Auto is different from other auto insurance companies because it does not consider credit score, education or occupation when calculating policy rates. It looks at your driving record as the main source of information when determining how much you pay for auto insurance. Considering that, Cure Auto may cost more than other insurers if you have a speeding ticket or other traffic violation, or an at-fault accident on your record.

Discounts Offered by Cure Auto That Can Help You Save

Discounts like safe driving, anti-theft system, paperless billing, pay-in-full and multiple car can make auto insurance more affordable. If Cure Auto offers a discount to you for a car insurance policy, the price will go down.

Note: The cost of car insurance is highly personalized and varies from driver to driver. Auto insurance companies weigh several factors when considering your rate, including age, driving record, address, the type of car you drive and more. The MoneyGeek calculator estimates how much you could pay for car insurance, without entering your personal information. The estimator can help you decide if it's time to switch car insurance companies or find a provider that fits your needs and budget.

Does Cure Auto Offer Broad or Unique Coverage?

All insurance companies, including Cure Auto, provide standard car insurance coverage: liability, comprehensive and collision insurance.

Cure Auto also provides roadside assistance, a common add-on coverage with most insurers. It covers electrical or mechanical breakdown, keys locked in your car, flat tires and even fuel if you run out of gas. For roadside assistance, you call Cure Auto's toll-free number to get a service provider sent to you.

Cure Auto does not offer any unique add-on coverage options, like custom parts.

What Online Auto Insurance Tools Does Cure Auto Offer?

Setting affordable rates based almost entirely on driving history sets Cure Auto Insurance apart. Although age and gender play a part in determining rates, they don’t discriminate against families with teen drivers when you add them to a policy. This practice is great news for anyone with a teen driver, as teens usually cause the price of insurance to skyrocket.

Financial Strength

AM Best did not give Cure Auto Insurance a financial strength rating. AM Best is a voluntary rating system, and a company has to pay to be rated by them. It could mean that Cure Auto Insurance meets all of the standards of the Office of Insurance Regulation set by the state but decided not to participate in the AM Best rating system.
